French pianist Justine Eckhaut studied at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Lyon with Florent Boffard and David Selig and at the Berlin University of the Arts with Björn Lehmann and Eric Schneider. Her engagements have taken her to the Berlin Philharmonie, the Bregenz Festival, France Musique, the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Mexico, and the Oriental Art Center in Shanghai.

In February 2025, together with Latvian soprano Katrina Paula Felsberga, she won both First Prize and the prize for the best interpretation of the commissioned work at the International Chamber Music Competition “Franz Schubert and Modern Music” in Graz. In November 2024, she was awarded the Pianist’s Prize for outstanding achievements in lieder accompaniment at the Federal Singing Competition Berlin.

In 2020, Justine Eckhaut founded the berlied festival. From 2019 to 2021, she was invited by Thomas Hampson to participate in the Heidelberg Lied Academy. She also performs as a pianist with the Trio Dara and is a member of Let me LIED you. Since 2019, she has been working as a vocal coach at the Berlin University of the Arts, and since 2021 also as a pianist for the Vocal Consort of the Berlin Girls’ Choir and the Children’s Choir of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin.
