After training as a sports and gymnastics teacher, Sabine Wüsthoff studied music education and history in Hannover. Later, she specialized in choral and orchestral conducting in master classes. She currently works as a freelance conductor, composer, and music teacher in Berlin. Until 2023, she directed the choir school of the Berliner Mädchenchor, whose concert choir has won many awards.

Sabine Wüsthoff is a sought-after teacher with a focus on bodywork for conductors and creative rehearsal methodology. She is also an international juror. The Berlin Choir Society awarded her the Geschwister Mendelssohn Medal in 2015 for her services to the Berlin choir scene. In 2024, the President of Germany conferred on her the Cross of Merit with Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany.
