Once again, GENUIN combines old and new recordings by the Austrian piano grand seigneur Paul Badura-Skoda to form an exhilarating unity. His recording of Beethoven's Hammerklavier Sonata – the fourth-to-the-last sonata of the Master – is almost 40 years old, made in 1976, and it is combined here with the three last Beethoven sonatas, recorded by Badura-Skoda in late 2013. As always, our view of one of the great pianists of our time is rounded off by a profound text accompanying the master's recordings. An exemplary production!

"... celle d’un Beethoven clair, concis, chantant. Etre capable, à l’âge de 86 ans, de jouer Beethoven de cette manière-là a quelque chose de profondément émouvant. (...) a presque déjà valeur testamentaire."
