genesis brass

genesis brass was founded in 2003 and is made up of nine musicians from various German orchestras. The ensemble performs in the instrumentation of four trumpets/flugelhorn, four trombones, and tuba.

Its artistic director and initiator is Christian Sprenger, who also works as a composer and arranger for the ensemble. Through the unique and continuous collaboration between the ensemble and its director, an unmistakable sound has developed over the past years—distinguished by its individuality and authenticity.

A special appeal of the genesis brass programs lies in the opportunity for listeners to play the very works they have just heard in concert within their own ensembles.
