With her flexible and expressive high soprano, Eva Resch is regarded as one of the most exciting singers of her generation. A versatile interpreter of contemporary music, she has performed at the Festival Internacional Cervantino in Guanajuato, Mexico, the Villa Massimo in Rome, and the national theaters in Warsaw, Weimar, and Mannheim, as well as at the Bonn Opera and Malmö Opera. She has also appeared at the Munich Biennale, the Wiener Festwochen, and the Berliner Festspiele.
She has premiered and performed works by Malin Bång, Wolfgang Rihm, Pascal Dusapin, Thomas Adès, Johannes Maria Staud, Vladimir Tarnopolski, Philipp Maintz, Gordon Kampe, and Anno Schreier, and has collaborated with renowned directors such as Claus Guth and Werner Schroeter.
Resch has performed Arnold Schoenberg’s String Quartet No 2 with the Asasello Quartet, including at the Philharmonie de Paris, and his Pierrot lunaire with the Zafraan Ensemble at Berlin’s Radialsystem.
Her album Eden, featuring songs by Arnold Schoenberg, Viktor Ullmann, Anton Webern, and Franz Schreker, earned her a nomination as Singer of the Year at the Opus Klassik, as well as recognition from the German Record Critics’ Award and the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA).
She studied at the conservatories in Würzburg and Karlsruhe and currently teaches voice at the Lübeck University of Music.
