Sandro Nebieridze

Sandro Nebieridze began his musical training at the age of five at the Z. Paliashvili Central Music School in Tbilisi with Neli Imedashvili and Lali Sanikidze. He continued his studies at the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire, where his dual talents as a pianist and composer were further promoted. He is currently studying piano at the University of Music and Theater Munich and at the Fondazione Accademia Internazionale di Imola “Incontri con il Maestro” with Antti Siirala and Boris Petrushansky.
His most important awards include first prize at the Astana Piano Passion competition, second prize at the Kissinger Piano Olympus, and the Grand Prix at the International Grand Piano Competition. Another highlight of his career has been the release of his debut album, on which he performs solo works by Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev. The album was awarded the Tsinandali Prize and nominated for the Opus Klassik Awards 2020.
As a composer, his works, such as the award-winning Piano Concerto No. 1, the two piano trios, the Chamber Ballet, the Miniature for Male Choir, and the impressive Illusionary Tango have gained recognition both in Georgia and abroad.
In collaboration with orchestras worldwide, he has presented numerous performances under the direction of renowned conductors such as Petr Popelka, Olivier Tardy, and Gianandrea Noseda. Sandro Nebieridze regularly performs throughout Europe, and in addition to acclaimed solo recitals in countries such as the Czech Republic, Norway, and Germany, a particular highlight in his career was when he stepped in at the last minute for Lang Lang at a ZDF Christmas concert.
Sandro Nebieridze is currently a scholarship holder of the Lisa Batiashvili Foundation and the Martha Pulvermacher Foundation, and is pursuing the Excellence in Performance degree in Munich.
