Florian Götz studied singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar. Subsequently, he joined the ensemble of the Theater Erfurt in 2010, where he was a member until 2014. He made his debut at the Opéra National de Paris as Artabano in Pagliardi’s Caligula delirante, at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, and at the Gasteig in Munich in Mozart’s Così fan tutte.

Florian Götz is also a regular guest at the Leipzig Opera, the State Theaters in Darmstadt, Karlsruhe and Nuremberg, as well as at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, DeSingel International Arts Centre in Antwerp and the Konzerthaus Berlin. He has appeared as a guest soloist at the Ludwigsburg Festival, the Rheingau Musik Festival, the Schwetzingen SWR Festival, the Handel festivals in Halle and Göttingen and at the Festival de Sablé.

He has performed with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, the Stuttgarter Symphoniker, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Lautten Compagney Berlin, l’arte del mondo, Le Poème Harmonique and the Ricercar Consort and has worked with conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Vincent Dumestre, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Michael Sanderling, Wolfgang Katschner, Dorothee Oberlinger, Stefan Vladar and Konrad Junghänel.
