World Premiere Recording on the New Quintessenz CD: Anže Rozman's "Medusa"

The Leipzig-based flute ensemble is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and what could be more a more obvious thing to do than to present a new CD? On 8 April 2016 it's that time again: the third GENUIN CD of Quintessenz is titled "Incantations" and among its many surprises includes a world premiere recording. The young Slovenian composer Anže Rozman (b. 1989) devoted himself to the tragic tale of the Greek Gorgon Medusa, composing the story of her transformation in a two-act work that was commissioned by the Leipzig flute ensemble Quintessenz.
