The German Record Critics' Award has published its second longlist for 2026 today.
We are delighted that two GENUIN productions have made it onto the list and have been nominated for the 2/2026 shortlist.
The album "Eisnacht (Ice Night)" by mezzo-soprano Pia Viola Buchert and pianist Tatjana Dravenau, with songs by Jewish composers, has made it onto the longlist in the Classical Song and Vocal Recital category.
In the Orchestral Music category, the Athens State Orchestra, conducted by Ilias Voudouris, is in the running with its recording of works by "Yorgo Sicilianos", one of the most significant Greek composers of the 20th century.
The 157 critics' jurors have nominated a total of 240 new releases from the last quarter in 32 categories, which are eligible for the next Best List. The Best List 2/2026 will be published on May 15, 2026.
