GENUIN Special Prize at the 2nd International String Quartet Competition in Bad Tölz

The International String Quartet Competition will take place for the second time in Bad Tölz from April 10 to 15, 2026. This year, GENUIN will award a special prize for the first time. The winning quartet will receive a CD recording for international distribution.

A total of ten international string quartets have qualified for the competition:

Moser String Quartet, Basel, Switzerland
Quartet KAIRI, Tokyo, Japan ∙ Salzburg, Austria
Quartetto Pegreffi, Parma, Italy
Turicum Quartet, Zurich, Switzerland

The expert jury includes Krzysztof Chorzelski, Marc Steinberg, Oliver Wille, Jonathan Brown, John Myerscough, Estelle Choi, Andrea Hampl, and Holger Busse.
