Concert with Pia Viola Buchert and Tatjana Dravenau at the Ariowitsch-Haus in Leipzig on the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day

On their new album "Eisnacht", mezzo-soprano Pia Viola Buchert and pianist Tatjana Dravenau dedicate themselves to songs by composers born between 1890 and 1924 who have one thing in common: The persecution of Jewish people and the forced journey into exile changed their lives drastically. Their music, which is characterized by emotional depth and melodic power, fell silent as a result and largely disappeared from the public eye.

With their program, the two musicians give a new voice to the works of six impressive personalities - Walter Arlen, Ursula Mamlok, Hans Gál, Ruth Schonthal, Felix Wolfes and Viktor Ullmann - and revive an almost forgotten part of music history.

As part of Holocaust Remembrance Day, Pia Viola Buchert and Tatjana Dravenau will present their new album and program entitled "Eisnacht" on 29 January 2026, to which we cordially invite you.
