Song recital with Lars Conrad and Daniel Prinz at the Federal Administrative Court in Leipzig

Herbert Grönemeyer wasn't the only one to ask the famous question of when a man is a man—the song duo Lars Conrad and Daniel Prinz also explore the topic of masculinity on their debut album.

On December 17, 2025, GENUIN and the association “Art and Justice in the Federal Administrative Court” invite you to a special song recital at 8:00 p.m.

“Men – Between Ecstasy and Despair” questions the stereotypical role model of a man, which is often associated with dominance, power, strength, or heroism, but rarely with sensitivity, vulnerability, and doubt. The works of Johannes Brahms, Hanns Eisler, Robert Schumann, and Hugo Wolf shed light on the many facets of a man—or what society often attributes to them. On the one hand, they address vulgarity, brutality, and excess, but on the other hand, they also address sensitivity, deep friendships, and depression.

A song recital that invites us to rethink masculinity.
