Octavians win 2nd prize at the international a cappella competition in Tampere

The Octavians have won 2nd prize in the renowned competition for vocal ensembles at the Tampere Vocal Music Festival in Finland. Our warmest congratulations.
The competition is considered one of the most important of its kind in Europe. In addition to the jury chairman Jussi Chydenius, the international jury also included Susanna Lukkarinen (Finland), Kim Nazarian (USA), John Potter (Great Britain) and Morten Vinther Sørensen (Denmark).
John Lennon's famous song "Imagine", arranged by Tom Anderson and released on the album "Minutes from Centuries", was part of the program presented by the vocal ensemble at the competition. Another piece, "Ave Maria" by Franz Biebl, will soon find its way onto a new album by the Octavians. Further information will be announced in due course. Stay tuned!
