Marc Trénel has been Principal Bassoon of the Orchestre de Paris since 1999. He won First Prize at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2008 and received an ECHO Klassik Award.

As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras including the MDR Symphony Orchestra, the Netherlands Radio Chamber Philharmonic, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.
