Ángel Luis Sánchez Moreno won First Prize and the Audience Prize at the 13th International Oboe Competition of the Sony Music Foundation in Japan in 2023.
He has been recognized by critics for his sound, expression, and virtuosity and is regarded as one of the outstanding artists of today’s music world. Born in Madrid in 1995, he made his solo debut at the age of 13. At 17, he performed at the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid and at BOZAR in Brussels.
