Following the GENUIN album „Niemals war die Nacht so klar“ genesis brass now presents a second collection of Advent and Christmas music. Once again, familiar songs such as “Lasst uns froh und munter sein,” “Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht,” and “Jingle Bells” take center stage. Anne Weckeßer and ensemble director Christian Sprenger have arranged these well-known melodies for brass, giving each its own distinctive musical character. The program brings together traditional chorales and popular Christmas songs such as “O Heiland, reiß die Himmel auf,” “Es kommt ein Schiff, geladen,” and “Maria durch ein Dornwald ging.” The musicians of genesis brass bring these arrangements to life with precision, tremendous passion, and complete command of their sound.
