Lisa Neßling discovered her great passion for music, the cello, performance and teaching at an early age under the careful guidance of her teachers Margot Gutbrod, Georg Faust
and Irene Güdel. Neßling’s artistry has earned high praise and is documented on numerous live recordings and in many works dedicated to her. At the same time the many national and international prizes won by her pupils demonstrate the excellence of her work as a music pedagogue.

Lisa Neßling pursues a teaching career at the Filum Music School in Filderstadt, Germany and is responsible for the school’s pre-college preparation program. For many years she
has also been a specialist cello adviser to the German Association of Music Schools (VdM) and a lecturer in in-service teacher education.
