There they are again, the Hoboen-Bande of the Toutes Suites. Under the direction of Marianne R. Pfau, this is not the first time they are giving great pleasure to GENUIN listeners: already their CDs with works of Bodinus and Muller conjured up the entire magnificence of Baroque castles and festivals in our living rooms. How warm, large and illuminating only four woodwinds can sound – three oboes and a bassoon, accompanied by violone and harpsichord – is also demonstrated by the double-reed artists in their new recordings of works by Johann Philipp Krieger and Johann Christian Schieferdecker. Field music and concerts – today, fortunately, only for musical competition and our delight... toujours hautbois!
