The JUNGE DEUTSCHE BLECHBLÄSERSOLISTEN were founded following a German Brass Academy at the suggestion of Prof. Walter Hilgers in the summer of 2000. The musical standards of the young musicians, most of whom are members of the Bundesjugendorchester or the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, differ fundamentally from other ensembles of this kind.

In contrast to other ensembles in the brass genre, the jdbs are mainly dedicated to the exploration of so-called "serious music", which is clearly underlined by the CD produced at the beginning of 2002.
The recording of "Pini di Roma", "Fontane die Roma" and "Feste Romane" by Ottorino Respighi in the version transcribed especially for this ensemble by Peter Lawrence is therefore unique.
