With his new GENUIN album, the young exceptional guitarist Jakob Wagner transcends the boundaries of the familiar: five world premieres, written especially for him, open new sonic spaces beyond the traditional guitar repertoire. At the heart of the album’s concept lies visual art – each composition was created in dialogue with a specific artwork. Jeremy Collins, Daniel Rheinbay, Bojan Vuletić, Alí Arango, and Marek Pasieczny connect music with painting, sound with vision. The result: an interdisciplinary, stylistically multifaceted album – interpreted at the highest level and resonating far beyond the boundaries of genre.
