Wolfgang Watzinger, born in Darmstadt, studied at Music Academies in Freiburg and Salzburg. 1971 First Prize at the National Competition of the German Music Academies in Frankfurt. 1973/74 Wolfgang Watzingerstudied at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia (Rudolf Serkin) Concerts in Europe, Asia (Hongkong & Japan), South Africa and USA. Professor of Piano at the Music Academy in Detmold; since 1994 Professor of Piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. 1995 debut in the „Konzerthaus“ in Vienna. Since 1995 master classes at Wiener Musikseminar
