Falk Hoffmann

Born in Dresden, Falk Hoffmann was a member of the Dresden Kreuzchor, where he gained his first experiences as a soloist. At the conclusion of his time with the Kreuzchor he was in 1997 awarded the Rudolf Mauersberger Scholarship.

He studied singing with Armin Ude and Margret Trappe-Weil at the University of Music of his home town and went on to undertake a two-year post-graduate course, as well as master-classes and post-graduate studies in Lieder and concert performance with Olaf Bär. Various master-classes, including with Peter Schreier, completed his training.

From 2003 to 2010 Falk Hoffmann was a member of the Landesbühnen Sachsen in Radebeul where he sang many major parts while also taking on guest appearances at various other German opera houses. Since 2010 he has been a member of the MDR LEIPZIG RADIO CHOIR, where he continues to be entrusted with solo parts.

As a concert performer his commitments regularly take him to concert venues all over Germany, including Düsseldorf, Munich, Hamburg and Berlin. He is a frequent guest with the Leipziger Synagogalchor, the Dresdner Singakademie, the St. Thomas Boys’ Choir, Leipzig, and the Dresden Kreuzchor. Various recordings bear witness to his artistic output.
