Pianist Kerstin Mörk won the Special Prize for Song Accompanists at the International Song Competition in Stuttgart in 2012 and is admired for her command of a wide range of chamber music, art songs and solo piano literature. She has appeared in recital at the Liederhalle Stuttgart, the Semperoper in Dresden, Essen’s Philharmonie, Wagner’s Villa Wahnfried (Bayreuth), the Weingarten Musiktage, the Ludwigsburg Schlossfestspiele, and the Ljubljana Festival. She performed as a piano soloist in Canada, France, Bulgaria and the Netherlands, is a frequent guest artist at the International Bach Academy in Stuttgart and collaborates with various chamber ensembles. In 2011, she and violist Madeleine Przybyl were awarded a scholarship for their duo performance at the German Music Competition. Kerstin Mörk studied in Stuttgart, Paris and Würzburg with, among others, Florian Wiek, Cornelis Witthoefft, Roger Muraro, and Bernd Glemser. She holds master’s degrees in Piano Performance and Song Accompaniment with highest honors. She also received her artist diploma in piano performance from the Musikhochschule in Würzburg. She has gained important insight from song accompanists Wolfram Rieger, Helmut Deutsch and Gerold Huber. Kerstin Mörk has been a lecturer in vocal coaching at the State University of Music and the Performing Arts Stuttgart since 2014.
