Adam Ambarzumjan

“Adam Ambarzumjan is without a doubt a master of his instrument.” (Süddeutsche Zeitung) As a soloist and chamber musician, Adam has won numerous international music competitions. Since 2020, he has been a principal clarinetist with the Württemberg Philharmonie Reutlingen. In 2023, he received a special prize in the wind quintet category with his ensemble at the German Music Competition and was selected for the prestigious concert promotion program of the German Music Council.

He regularly performs as a guest principal clarinetist with prominent radio, theater, and symphony orchestras. Alongside his pianist brother, Adam also performs nationally and internationally in their duo, Hamlet & Adam. He graduated with distinction from Norbert Kaiser’s class at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. Adam has been awarded scholarships from the Deutschlandstipendium, the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation, and the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Stuttgart organization.
